Translation of Sakai GTES Francommunity

This project, gathering 14 partners from the Maghreb region (Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia) and Canada, will last 18 months and proposes the installation of a plateforme of open source tools for higher education (POLLES).

• to reinforce regional universities technological structure;
• to develop tools of normalization and standardization for better management;
• to reinforce human competencies and to provide the actors and the researchers from these regions with the technological means to produce and refine information towards economic and socio-cultural development.

The first goal of this project is thus to offer to the public of universities - academics, students, personnel - quality services and simplify the access to administrative by offering new sources of information.

Sakai-Québec participates in the installation of this e-learning solution adapted to the reality of Maghreb, particularly with a version of Sakai in Arabic and by the personalization of the graphic interfaces according to the universities’ needs.
